INFORMATION ON THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA
pursuant to Article 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR)

In carrying out its institutional activities as a third-sector entity, JW Sostegno e Soccorso ETS (hereinafter also referred to as the “Association” or “JW ETS”) may process data relating to identified or identifiable natural persons in compliance with privacy laws.

For this reason, as required by EU Regulation 2016/679 (hereinafter “GDPR”), our Association is obliged to provide the data subject with the information below.

TYPES OF DATA PROCESSED AND PURPOSES OF PROCESSING

JW Sostegno e Soccorso ETS processes personal data for civic, charitable, and socially useful purposes, also at an international level, by means of voluntary actions and/or financial assistance, provision of goods or services, disaster relief, humanitarian aid, production of publications in Braille and videos in sign language, and any other activities included in its bylaws as a third-sector entity.

To this end, JW ETS may process information regarding the personal details of data subjects, their identification and tax information, as well as their contact details, which, depending on the purpose pursued by the Association, may include special categories of data as defined by Article 9 of the GDPR. Such information generally includes name, surname, phone number, email address, residential address, place and date of birth, tax identification number, etc.

This information is stored on servers located within the European Union or in countries whose level of data protection is deemed adequate under EU regulations, for as long as necessary to fulfill the intended purposes and to manage received requests, and in any case for a period no longer than that permitted by applicable law.

The processing of personal data by JW ETS may result, in addition to processing related to its own members, mainly from: user contact requests; donations received; visits to the Association’s website.

Data provided by the user – Voluntary, explicit, and optional messages sent to the contact addresses of JW Sostegno e Soccorso ETS will result in the acquisition of the sender’s contact details, which are necessary to reply, as well as any other personal data included in the communication. Such data are therefore lawfully processed under the legal basis of Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR.

Data processed following donations – In the case of voluntary donations to JW ETS, the Association must process the donor’s data in order to comply with legal obligations in tax and administrative matters, such as issuing receipts, generating electronic certifications, and maintaining accounting records. These data are lawfully processed under the legal basis of Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR. Regarding the “five per thousand” scheme (cinque per mille), since according to the tax regulations the beneficiary entity is not supposed to know personal or identifying information that would allow the taxpayer’s identity to be traced, those who allocate their personal income tax to JW ETS can always rely on the confidentiality of their identity.

In any case, JW Sostegno e Soccorso ETS never discloses the personal data of its users or donors, nor does it share such information with any third parties outside its Association, unless expressly required by law or in response to legitimate requests from authorities.

Internet browsing data – The IT systems and software procedures used to operate the website jwets.org acquire, during normal operation, certain personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols.

This category of data includes IP addresses or domain names of the computers and terminals used by users, URI/URL addresses of requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numeric code indicating the status of the server’s response (success, error, etc.), and other parameters related to the user’s operating system and IT environment.

Such data, processed by the Association under the legal basis of Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, are necessary for the normal use of web services and are also processed for the purpose of: obtaining statistical information on the use of the services (e.g., most visited pages, number of visitors per time slot or day, geographical areas of origin, etc.); verifying the proper functioning of the services offered; improving website performance and ensuring its security.

Browsing data are retained by the IT systems and software procedures used to operate this site for as long as needed to achieve the stated purposes or as long as necessary to comply with legal obligations, unless otherwise required by the Judicial Authority for the investigation of criminal offenses.

Cookies and other tracking systems – The JW ETS website does not use profiling cookies (i.e., cookies intended to create user profiles to send advertising messages in line with the user’s browsing preferences), but only technical cookies that enable safe, fast, and efficient browsing of the site through Cloudflare’s CDN (Content Delivery Network) services, which the site uses to improve performance and maintain security. The use of these cookies does not require the user’s prior consent and they are stored for a period of one year, after which they are automatically deleted by Cloudflare.

DATA SUBJECTS’ RIGHTS

In the cases provided for by the GDPR, data subjects have the right to obtain from JW ETS access to their personal data and the rectification or erasure of such data or the restriction of processing concerning them, or to object to processing (Articles 15 and following of EU Regulation 2016/679).

Requests must be sent in writing to JW ETS at the email address jwsoccorso@gmail.com, or via Certified Email (PEC) to legale.jwssets@legalmail.it.

RIGHT TO LODGE A COMPLAINT

Should data subjects believe that the processing of their personal data by JW ETS violates the provisions of the GDPR, they have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority, as provided by Article 77 of the GDPR, or to seek judicial remedy (Article 79 of the GDPR).
